Socialthing! adds Seesmic
[by Jeremy Vaught, Community Blogger - Seesmic]
SocialThing! (exclamation point is part of the name) just added Seesmic. This is exciting for us because I know I for one am a big fan of
SocialThing!. Matt Galligan, Founder & CEO of SocialThing! came into the Seesmic office during the Web 2.0 conference earlier this year. Here is the episode of Seesmic Du Jour that came out of that visit. (My apologies that the 2nd guy was chewing gum, I'm not..., errr, he's not on camera that often)
Direct Link
I linked to SocialThing!'s blog up above, but I'll make it more obvious. Their announcement is here. Also, a quick review of the blog will help you realize how well SocialThing! is connected with their users. Matt Galligan is very active on their blog answering questions.
The way it works is your friends can see your Seesmic posts on SocialThing!, and you can see any Seesmic posts made by your SocialThing! friends. There is no ability to post to Seesmic from SocialThing at this time.
UPDATE by Matt Galligan, CEO and Founder of SocialThing!
"Thanks for the post, guys! I'd like to clarify just a couple of things: When you integrate Seesmic into your ST! account, you're actually seeing your Seesmic friends that you've already identified back on Seesmic...and all of their video posts. We do this because we recognize that you may not even have any friends on Socialthing! just yet. And also, you are able to post replies to videos, so long as you're logged in...but being able to post a regular video will be coming soon! Thanks again!" Thanks Matt, I appreciate the clarification.
If you are not a member of SocialThing! already, I encourage you to check it out at SocialThing.com and sign up. I have a few invites if you need one. (just email me at vaught at seesmic dot com). Once you are in, go to your settings, and add Seesmic along with the other services SocialThing! offers.
Also, thank you all to those that voted for Seesmic to be added to SocialThing!
