Tumblr integration and other new features on Seesmic Ping

 

Hey Seesmic Ping users! We just pushed a new release for our Seesmic Ping products for iOS, Android and the Web Client.

The biggest part of this update is the Tumblr integration. Here are the main new features you can enjoy on Seesmic Ping:

 

Seesmic Ping Web

Integration with Tumblr Support (ensure you’re logged into Tumblr and simply go to accounts and add Tumblr to your list of accounts):

Thumbnail Preview support for Facebook and LinkedIn. When adding a link attachment, select a thumbnail to highlight in Facebook and LinkedIn.

Seesmic Ping for iPhone and iPad

Integration with Tumblr:

Retry any failed messages – Seesmic Ping will hold your messages to retry any messages that were not sent due to possible network issues with Twitter or Facebook:

Added a side bar menu to include the following features:

  • View History of messages sent from our Seesmic Ping Service
  • View Pending messages scheduled for release
  • View your saved drafts


Seesmic Ping for Android:  Tumblr is now available for Seesmic Ping on Android – no need to download.

Seesmic Ping Now Available Native on Desktop for OS X and Windows

We’re very excited to share a couple of new releases for Seesmic Ping. Now, you will be able to use your favorite cross-posting platform directly from your desktop, either on your Mac or on your Windows PC.

And for the best experience, we made these two applications native!

You will be able to:

  • Post to multiple Twitter, Facebook (Pages & Profiles) and LinkedIn accounts


  • Quickly and easily schedule posts to be sent at a future date and time


  • View thumbnails of your images to ensure you know exactly what you are sharing


  • View the history of your recent posts


  • View a list of your scheduled posts
  • Share multiple kinds of content: share links as attachments for Facebook as well as photos or images

In addition to all these features already available on our existing Seesmic Ping products, here are some highlights of this release for both platforms:

  • Click and drag images onto the composer (you can also do a right click on the image file and “Share with Seesmic Ping”)
  • Click and drag links onto the composer
  • Spell check support
  • Keyboard shortcuts

 

We also have a couple of specific features for Seesmic Ping for Windows:

  • Bookmarklet: automatically attach links with a single button
  • Minimize to System Tray: closing the app will minimize to the System Tray for easy access. Ctrl + Shift + P activates and brings the app to the front

Seesmic Ping: new features available on Windows Phone 7

We are glad to announce the release of our new version of Seesmic Ping for Windows Phone 7. We made improvements, fixed a few bugs and added several features as well.

The new version includes features such as:

  • Previewing attached links

 

  • Accessing your history of sent posts and your list of scheduled posts


  • Ability to delete schedule posts
  • Upon pasting a url link in the composer, you’ll be prompted to add the link as an attachment

You’ll probably notice a few enhancements throughout the app. Feel free to try it and to give us your feedback.

Introducing Seesmic Ping

We are excited to announce the launch of our new multi-posting platform, Seesmic Ping. If you’re familiar with Ping.fm, you’ll discover how Seesmic Ping is even simpler, highly reliable and just totally awesome!

At launch, this free beta of Seesmic Ping will include familiar services to reach your audience:

  • Facebook and Facebook Pages
  • Multiple Twitter accounts
  • Linkedin
  • With more to come…

Main features of Seesmic Ping:

  • Post via web
  • Post via email
  • Attach links & images (post pictures on Facebook and Twitter as if you were posting them “natively”)
  • Schedule your posts at any time

We’ll look to have more features and services when Seesmic Ping comes out of beta as a paid service.
