Seesmic Web Users, Meet Seesmic Profiles

Starting today you can access your new profile in Seesmic Web. We are working very hard to bring Seesmic Profiles to our other applications very soon.

With Seesmic Profiles, you will have one dashboard for all of your accounts and Seesmic applications.

Getting started with Seesmic Profiles

There are two ways to get started with the new Seesmic Profiles :

— If you are an existing user, log-in with your Seesmic account, then re-authorize access to your Facebook and Twitter accounts.

— If you are a new Seesmic user, welcome aboard! You can set up a new account to use Seesmic Profiles right away. After you sign-up, you will receive an email confirmation. Log in using this link, and add the social networks that matter to you.

Here are the new features in Seesmic Profiles:

  • All of the accounts that you see on your dashboard will be accessible in Seesmic Web.
  • Seesmic Web is only the first step of Seesmic Profiles. Our other products will follow soon.
  • You can access your dashboard by clicking on your email address in the upper right hand corner
  • You can access your account settings via the settings button next to your email address in the top right-hand corner
  • The settings are now a pop-up where you can access, add, and manage your accounts. It syncs automatically with your dashboard
  • You can configure your timeline refresh rate, Klout settings, and add your account in Settings.

Extra features:

  • Filter by Klout Score (in Filter setting found in each column)
  • Disable Klout Score (in Settings)
  • Search by Twitter Username or tweets
  • Block User (in Profile Pop-Up)
  • Remember timeline position when new tweets load – (configure in Settings)
  • See a list of who retweeted your tweets

We are very excited to see so many users across all of our applications : Seesmic Web,Seesmic Desktop 2, and Seesmic for AndroidiPhone, and Windows Phone 7.

  • Scheduled Updates:

We are still in the process of updating Seesmic Web. While we are doing this, any updates scheduled to be posted will be delayed until we are done updating. We’ll be sure to let you know when the process is complete.

  • 404 Error:

With our new changes, you might get a page saying 404 Error Not Found. If you are experiencing this, make sure to clear out the browser cache. It should work fine. If not, make sure to submit us a ticket here with details about your browser and version.

  • LinkedIn:

For some users, your LinkedIn feed in Seesmic Web may not work. Our team is aware of it and is working on a fix.

Seesmic Web: Now with Support for Chatter, Facebook Pages and More

If you're looking for a lightweight, easy-to-use app for managing your social media presesce, Seesmic Web is the app for you. Now, that's even more true with our latest update.

Introducing version 1.2 of Seesmic Web. The new release packs the following awesome feature additions and improvements:

Support for Salesforce Chatter – As I'm sure you've noticed, Salesforce Chatter has become increasingly important to the Seesmic offering. It's amazing how powerful you become with internal collaboration alongside external social networks, and we've taken advantage of that power with the latest version of Seesmic Web. With the Chatter integration, you can:
  • Add multiple Chatter accounts
  • Access your Chatter Feed
  • Post on Chatter and and include files and links
  • View and post comments on Chatter messages
  • Access your Chatter Groups
  • Access Chatter profiles and view their followers

Improved Support for Facebook and Facebook Pages – One of the most requested feature additions/improvements was our support for Facebook and Facebook pages. We hear you! Now, you can do the following:
  • Access to "My Wall"
  • Access to your Facebook Pages you are an Admin
  • View and delete posts and comments for Facebook Pages
  • View Facebook Profiles
  • Open other friend's walls and Post to Walls

Support for accounts – Tracking is important. Now, you can track every link you post with support for accounts.
  • Including support for Pro by adding your API key

Secure Login through SSL - Along with our integration with Chatter, you can now access Seesmic Web through Secure Login via SSL. Verify your secure connection by logging in with https:// in the URL.

Seesmic Web 1.0 – Schedule Posts, Autocomplete Usernames, Multiple Facebook accounts and so much more!

The newest version of Seesmic Web comes with some major features to manage your online social presence. From the ability to schedule your posts to adding unlimited Facebooks accounts, you'll find Seesmic Web continues to be a powerful yet easy-to-use application service.

Just login as you normally would to see the updates, if there are any issues please try a shift refresh or if issues still persist, please clear your browser cache and log back in to ensure you can see the changes.

Updates to Seesmic Web 1.0 include:

  • Scheduled messages to post to your networks

Scheduled Posts 

Maximize the timing of your published post by scheduling your messages to reach your online followers. Simply write the post, select the networks, the day and the hour you plan to publish and you’re done – the post will be sent on schedule!

Autocomplete Usernames

With the challenge of remembering usernames, Seesmic Web offers a useful feature that automatically lists out usernames when creating a message. Type @ followed by letters in the compose box to search through the users you're following for their username and full name and select the user.

Klout Integration

Klout is a service that allows users to track the impact of their opinions, links and recommendations across their social graph. Know who the influencers are in Seesmic Web by viewing the Klout scores within your Twitter stream. Search for more detailed Klout information by viewing the details within the Contacts Manager.

Direct Messages received timeline

Our Messages tab has always been a helpful feature to manage direct messages (DM) in a threaded conversation view. After listening to user feedback, you can now view them as a separate column in the home feed. You can also directly reply to the message from the same column to ensure your messages stay private.

Unlimited Multiple Facebook Accounts

If you manage more than one Facebook account, you can now manage them all in one dashboard in Seesmic Web, together with all your other networks.

Drag and Drop for instant upload with Google Chrome 

You’re in a hurry and the picture you want to send out sits comfortably on your desktop? Drag and drop the picture in the status bar of Seesmic Web, and it will be uploaded instantly.

Keyboard Shortcuts and url shortener 

For power users who want to optimize their ability to scan through columns of messages, you can now press “Shift + ?” to get a list of initial keyboard shortcuts and use Seesmic Web just through the power of your keyboard. We look forward to providing more keyboard shortcuts in the future.

If you’re also looking for a different link shortener service, Seesmic Web gives you the ability to select the one which suits you best – either or url shortener.

Seesmic Web is expanding its wardrobe so to speak! – introducing Facebook, LinkedIn, together with, Google Buzz and FourSquare all in one browser tab!

Refreshed design and visual clues for important messages

Managing multiple social networks can be a complete struggle sometimes. We've made sure that this does not happen in Seesmic Web! Ease of navigation and an intuitive UI is important especially when you want to manage and update both social and professional networks simultaneously. Here are some improvements that will help make your Seesmic Web experience a little bit easier:

  • New color coding of Direct Mention Tweets - notice the blue color on the left next to the tweet? This is to help distinguish this as a direct mention to you so this doesn't get lost among the endless amounts of other posts.

  • New Reply Menu, with direct access to Retweet and Reply – When you hover over the lower right side of each tweet, you'll see a set of three buttons to choose from to easily reply directly to the tweet, Retweet this tweet, or click on the Options icon to view other actions available.

  • Yfrog support – Want to vary your picture posting networks? You can select to post from Yfrog or Tweetphoto support.

Chrome HTML5 Desktop Notifications

Sound notifications not enough for you? Well if you are using Google Chrome you are in luck as you'll have the option to Enable Desktop Notifications. Click here and a notification popup will appear on your desktop screen every time you receive Mentions and Direct Messages. Now you'll never miss an important tweet in Seesmic Web!
